LogiCue Net System Manual
Advanced configuration of the LogiCue Net System
LCN 12 Brightness Setting
In a dark control booth or backstage, you may find the default brightness setting to be too bright. To change the brightness setting, turn off the controller. Hold the "Main Go" button down and turn the power on. When the controller comes on, you will see twelve different brightness options on the twelve different channels. Press the "Standby" button under the brightness setting that you would like. When you turn the controller off and back on again, it will be in the updated brightness setting.
LC12 IP Address Ranges and Groups
Depending on your network configuration, you might need to change your ip addresses of your LogiCue Net System. For example, you might want to avoid using address that are close to the addresses of lighting or sound equipment on your network.
The LogiCue Net System has pre-programmed ip addresses. There are four ip address ranges:
Range 1: 10.201.1.X
Range 2: 10.50.1.X
Range 3: 172.30.1.X
Range 4: 192.168.1.X
The "X" in the list above is the ip address group. For LC12 Controllers, the group numbers are
Group 1: 21
Group 2: 22
Group 3: 23
Group 4: 24
So a LC12 Controller in Range 1 and Group 1 would have an ip address of 10.201.1.21 for example.
To change the ip address range of an LC12 Controller, unplug the ethernet cable and make sure the 18 volt power cable is plugged in. Hold down the "Go" button under channel 11. The LEDs above the first four channels on the controller will light up. Three of them will be blue and one will be white. The white channel represents the range number. Press the "Standby" button of the channel that represents the range that you would like. Once you press the "Standby" button and the LED above it turns white, the ip address range is recorded into the controller. You can turn off the controller and plug the ethernet cable back in.
To change the ip address group, unplug the ethernet cable and make sure the 18 volt power cable is plugged in. Hold down the "Go" button under channel 12. The LEDs above the first four channels on the controller will light up. Three of them will be pink and one will be white. The white channel represents the group number. Press the "Standby" button of the channel that represents the group that you would like. Once you press the "Standby" button and the LED above it turns white, the ip address group is recorded into the controller. You can turn off the controller and plug the ethernet cable back in.

LC12 Software Updates
The LCN12 has a built-in webserver that allows you to upload software updates. The webserver is only accessible when the controller is in Configuration Mode. This prevents the settings from being changed during a show.
To connect to the webserver, you will need a computer (PC or Mac) that has an ethernet port or a usb to ethernet adapter, a web browser, an ethernet switch (it does not have to be a POE switch), the LCN12 controller and power supply, and two ethernet cables. Connect the LCN12 controller to the ethernet switch with one ethernet cable and connect your computer to the ethernet switch with the other ethernet cable.
You will need to change the ethernet settings of your computers ethernet port to the following:
(You may want to record the current state of the settings in case you need to change them back)
IP Assignment: Manual (Or DHCP Off)
IPV4 Address: 10.201.1.2
IPV4 Mask (Subnet Mask) 255.255.0.0
IPV4 Gateway: 10.201.1.1
Preferred DNS: 10.201.1.0
DNS over HTTPS: Off
There may be other settings in your operating system. Consult the operating instructions for your operating system or search for "How do I change the IP address of my computer?" The most important settings are the IP address and the subnet mask, other settings may not be relevant to connecting with the LCN12.
Once you have your computer configured, hold down the Main "Standby" button while turning the power switch on. This will cause all of the lights on the controller to be blue. You can now open a web browser on your computer and type in 10.201.1.5
That will take you to a welcome page with a button to click that links to the download page. The current software version is listed on the welcome page.
